Cultivating the Wild

In Eric Breitenbach and Dorinda's Dallmeyer Cultivating the Wild, southern artists, scientists and environmentalists consider the life and work of the 18th century botanist William Bartram. Today, the south’s natural resources suffer mightily from neglect and exploitation. The film, by focusing on both Bartram and the people today that continue his work and philosophies, makes a committed stand for our living but vanishing world.
